Materials with History

The majority of the materials we use in our pieces are upcycled or vintage, selected for their quality, character, and longevity. By choosing fabrics that already exist, we avoid the most carbon-intensive stages of conventional fashion production - raw fiber creation, dying, and large-scale industrial processing.

Each textile carries its own history. Subtle variations in color, texture, or weave are not imperfections, but evidence of authenticity and individuality.

Sustainability extends beyond how a garment is made - it lives in how long it is worn. Our pieces are designed to be cared for, repaired, and returned to again and again. Care instructions are provided to help extend the life of each garment, repair guidance is always available upon request.

Materials are sourced primarily from local vintage dealers, fabric sellers, and small suppliers, supporting independent businesses while minimizing transportation emissions.

This localized approach keeps the supply chain transparent, flexible and rooted in community rather than scale.

Environmental Impact

By using vintage and upcycled materials, each garment avoids the emissions associated with new textile production. Based on industry lifecycle data, it is estimated that each piece saves approximately 8-10 kg of CO₂ compared to a newly manufactured equivalent. This comprises roughly an 85-90% reduction in carbon impact.

Every garment is handmade from start to finish. There is no factory, no assembly line, and no excess inventory. This process allows for careful construction, reduced waste, and a level of attention that mass production cannot replicate.

Producing in limited quantities ensures that nothing is made without intention, and nothing is made to simply be replicated. Most items are one of a kind - their design inspired by the materials available.
